Nicole A. Acevedo, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience helping people. Currently, Nicole works as a therapist and mental health provider for a major private hospital system in the Bronx. In her role, she provides evaluations, crisis interventions, and mental health treatment to middle school and high school students and their families.

Serving the underserved and fostering resilience among clients is one of Nicole's passions. Nicole's personal commitment is that every person can learn, change, and grow. Nicole uses her strong sense of empathy and life experience to join with her clients and to help bring about life transformations. She uses a therapeutic style which draws from various evidenced-based trauma theories, CBT, and humanistic approaches, and uses her fostered therapeutic relationships as a powerful tool for change.

Nicole’s strong spiritual belief is at the heart of her life work. She now spends fewer hours volunteering and continues to impact lives through her one-on-one professional and personal relationships. Nicole enjoys planning, DIY home projects, general organizing projects, and healthy living practices, which all serve to bring balance into her life.
